Careers In Care
Find your place in a team that truly values you
Make a real difference with a career in care
We believe that working in care is one of the most rewarding paths you can choose. It is about much more than just a job; it is about providing the warmth and support that allows our clients to live well in the comfort of their own homes. At Shirecare, we are looking for enthusiastic people to join our professional team across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We provide a supportive environment where your kindness and dedication are celebrated every day.
Qualities we look for in our care providers
We recruit for personality and train for skill. While we demand high professional standards, we look first for the human qualities that make a great carer:
Kindness and patience
You should have a natural desire to help others and the ability to stay calm and supportive.
Integrity
We need people who are honest, reliable, and dedicated to upholding the trust our clients place in us.
Local connection
We love to hire people who live in the communities they serve, fostering a sense of local people looking after local people. We are currently expanding our coverage across Nottingham and Derbyshire.
Eagerness to learn
You do not need prior experience, as we provide comprehensive induction training and ongoing support in areas like medication management and specific condition awareness.
Our Typical Care Job Roles
Our team works together to ensure every client receives a bespoke care plan tailored to their needs. Here are the key roles that make our high standard of care possible:
Care Assistant
You are the face of Shirecare, visiting clients in their homes to assist with daily routines, personal hygiene, and companionship. You play an amazing role in helping people stay independent by providing practical help and a friendly, consistent presence.
Care Co-ordinator
You act as the vital link between our clients and our carers, managing the scheduling systems that ensure we arrive when expected. You help allocate small, regular teams to each client to ensure consistency of care and reduce anxiety.
Care Manager
You lead our team with a focus on safety and transparency, overseeing risk assessments and governance. You are accessible to families to discuss changes in needs, ensuring our service always meets the highest industry standards.
